Washington has a Livestock Identification Advisory Board established in law (RCW 16.57), but that board does not set performance expectations for inspectors. Performance expectations for inspectors are set by the Manager and Supervisors, who are state employees
with Washington State Department of Agriculture. The Advisory Board only advises the Director of Agriculture on proposed rulemaking, fees, etc.</span><o:p></o:p></li></ol>

will be OK with some tools put in place to help ensure we are not placing the agency at risk. So with that in mind several employees and I have developed 12 scenario questions, to be given at the interview, that will give us a good idea if the applicant has
any knowledge of handling of livestock. We have also developed an evaluation sheet to be used by the person who will be training the new employee in the field. We feel this evaluation sheet will be good documentation in the event a new employee must be terminated
or there are problems that evolve out of the employment. The questions and evaluations are attached for you to review.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
