<p class="MsoNormal">Georgia was approved for a $5,000.00 COLA increase, and an additional $2,000.00 has been proposed in session (pending approval). These increases were for all full-time, benefit-eligible employees. There is also a proposal to create a Correctional
Officer 3 job. The House has also proposed to increase the starting salary to $56,000.00, but I don’t think this will pass. With past appropriations, agencies have increased the starting rate to $38,040.00 for CO1, with a maximum of $46,296.00, CO2 starting
at $46,028.40, maximum of $50,473.00. <o:p></o:p></p>
