<p class="MsoNormal">Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re all staying warm with this snowy weather! We had our final CEC committee meeting this afternoon and I wanted to update you on what they voted on.

<p class="MsoNormal">The committee passed the following:<o:p></o:p></p>
<ul style="margin-top:0in" type="disc">
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">2% merit increase<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">1% COLA (all permanent employees receive a 1% increase regardless of performance)<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Movement of salary structure upward by an average of 3.7% (see page 115 of CEC report for actual % by pay grade)<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Implementation of 2 new structures for IT/Engineering and Nursing/Healthcare<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Funding to bring any employees up to minimum of new pay structures<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

<p class="MsoNormal">The next part of the process is that the CEC committee co-chairs will present their recommendation to the Joint Finance Appropriation Committee (JFAC) this Friday. If passed by JFAC, it will make its way through the bill process (ask Michelle
Peugh about how a bill becomes a law… she knows in and out! <span style="font-family:"Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif">
