[Igcm] SDI Summit Invitation

[Idaho Geospatial Council Membership]

At the upcoming Northwest GIS Conference (https://nwgis.org/2017), Pam Bond, Keith Weber and Bill Farnsworth of the Idaho Geospatial Council - Executive Committee (IGC-EC) will be hosting a presentation and discussion on the Idaho Spatial Data Infrastructure - the SDI Summit.  The summit is designed for GIS professionals involved (or interested) in the creation or maintenance of geospatial data that is being shared with others and specifically those involved with the state's spatial data infrastructure (SDI) and framework datasets.  They will present on SDI from both a national and state perspective, describe The Idaho Map (TIM)<https://gis.idaho.gov/diagram.html>, the importance of geospatial metadata, and discuss the advantages of deploying web services as a sharing mechanism. The process of identifying and nominating specific datasets as statewide authoritative TIM data will also be presented. So, please join us on October 12th, 1:30-3:30, in Room 110C of the Boise Centre.
