For March, we're featuring TWO "Maps of the Month." They have been posted to the GIS website (along with maps previously posted to the site) and can now be viewed at: http://gis.idaho.gov/portal/maps/gallery.html

This month's maps were submitted by Stephen Cox, Idaho Dept. of Agriculture:

The first map, "Hydrilla in Idaho: Invasive Plant Management in the Bruneau River" is a story map which looks at the biology of hydrilla (one of the most aggressive and environmentally disruptive aquatic plants in the world), where it was found in Idaho, and what the Idaho State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) is doing to remove it.

The second map, "NorWeST Stream Temperature Interactive Map" allows users to zoom to areas of interest to view modeled streams and observed point locations, and includes supporting research and presentations, as well as a link to the NorWeST website where more information and downloadable data and shapefiles with more attributes can be found.

Enjoy!
