We are seeking members of the IGC who are interested in running for election for the IGC-EC. Please let us know if you are interested, or if you would like to nominate someone. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 9th and voting will occur by email ending March 15th. Elected members serve staggered two-year terms. Terms for those elected this year will begin on April 1st and end on March 31, 2026. The positions up for election this year are highlighted in blue: [Table Description automatically generated] * State (Seat 1) * Federal (Seat 4) * Local (Seat 6) * Local (Seat 7) * Tribal (Seat 8) * Private (Seat 10) The requirements for running are: * Candidates must be current members of the IGC. Please note that unsubscribing from the listserv will make you ineligible to vote. * Candidates may only run for a seat that represents their stakeholder group (i.e. an employee of a state agency can only run for a state seat; an employee of a private sector company can only run for the private seat, etc.) Some background on the IGC-EC: This committee, which is a subcommittee of the Idaho Technology Authority (ITA), provides policy-level direction and promotes efficient and effective use of resources for matters related to geographic information. The committee meets every other month during odd months and is comprised of 16 members (4 standing and 12 elected): Standing members: 1. The current Idaho Geospatial Information Officer 2. The current Idaho Geospatial Clearinghouse/Portal Manager 3. The current GIS Training and Research Center Manager 4.
