[Agencyitmanagers] 2018 NASCIO IT Recognition Awards program now open and seeking nominations

State IT Managers and Public Information Officers,

We are still accepting nominations for this year's NASCIO State IT Recognition Awards and we've extended the deadline for initial outlines to Friday, April 13.  This program honors excellence in the use of information technology in state government and gives nominees the opportunity to be showcased at the national level.  Last year we submitted three projects (one of which was named a finalist).

Prospective nominees can email me their one-page outline by Friday, April 13, which should include the following information:

  *   Dates project was initiated and completed (Projects must have been implemented between December 2015-December 2017. Projects submitted in the Emerging & Innovative Technologies award category can be in implementation or beta stage through June 2018)
  *   Category best aligned with your project
  *   Concept describing dilemma or encouraging civic engagement
  *   Significance and benefits of your project
  *   Impact of your project

Nominees with projects chosen to move forward to the national competition will expand their outlines into full submissions during April and early May, and our office will submit the nominated project entrees to NASCIO by the final deadline of Thursday, May 24.
