We have a growing need to use electronic signatures for our documents, particularly enforcement-related materials. Do any of you have an existing signature-control system? How does it work, and what product(s) is it based on? Any recommendations? Thanks for your time! As a sidebar... Please remember the distinction between executing and certifying documents. Many of us deal with digitally signed worked products from Engineers and Surveyors. Those original documents need to use a digital signature with third party certificate security. The vendors are familiar with these requirements and can walk you through the moving parts. Our office worked with the Secretary of State to enact Rules for the recorded versions of some of these documents. I would be more than happy to discuss these with anyone who needs information. The rules do not effect contracts or other business documents. Thanks, have a great day, Tom Thomas A. Judge, PLS, CFedS Deputy Director for Surveying Idaho Board of PE & PLS 1510 E.
