[CLBS] Contacting the trustee directly

Folks:
Just a reminder, if I am the trustee in a case where I have employed special
counsel, and you represent the debtor or some other adversarial party, feel
free to contact me directly re: information, questions, settlement, etc.,
just please copy my special counsel (usually Matt Christensen or TJ
Angstman) on all correspondence. Given that I tend to be pro-active in
litigation I understand it can be somewhat confusing to figure out whether
you're dealing with me or special counsel on a matter, which is why I don't
mind being contacted directly (So, no, I'm not going to rat you out to the
Bar). Granted, I (almost) always consult special counsel before pulling the
trigger on major matters in a case, but sometimes there may be issues that
come up that I can handle independent of special counsel - which can be a
cost-saver to the estate. Thank you for your consideration in this matter
going forward.
