I have a married couple where the husband lost his Idaho job 2 years ago
and found work in Wyoming and established a residence there, changing his
driver's license to Wyoming for work, while his unpaid-employed wife stayed
with grandma here in Idaho with 6 kids, where they have a lot of
belongings, but they did start school in Wyoming this year because the
split family was tough. The debt is substantially all Idaho, including a
foreclosed home and a couple repos. He is being garnished by an Idaho
creditor, wife does not work. Debtor husband filed Wyoming taxes last year
but made no Idaho money so filed nothing in Idaho. They do plan to be in
Wyoming going forward at least as long as the job holds up.

They checked with Wyoming counsel who referred them back as a more proper
case for Idaho since Idaho exemptions apply.

Do y'all think venue under 109 would be an issue though (chapter 7)? Or is
this a case where both Idaho and Wyoming are good? Couldn't find a case to
help. Thanks

PS also they have a retainer
