This is a great time to reflect on the current status of our Local Rules - - whether there are changes that should be considered or something that you were looking for in the Local Rules that was not there and should be considered.

You can email any of the non-court LRC members at any time and we would be happy to take it to the committee at the next scheduled meeting; i.e. myself (srs at hteh.com<mailto:srs at hteh.com>) or Fred Cooper, Janine Reynard, John Munding, Kathleen McCallister, Matt Christensen, or Rob Maynes.

The annual seminar is in Idaho Falls starting Thursday, Feb 18.  If you have not already made arrangements to be there, please do so now.  We will have a great program for all attendees.  We have reduced the seminar fees and the accommodations are very affordable.

We will be choosing two members of the Board for the section.  Both positons are from North Idaho, so we are looking for section members form North Idaho.

Tecla Druffel will be nominated for one positon.  The section members will nominate others and then vote to fill the positions.

One position is to fill the position opened up by the resignation of Megan Johnson.  That position will be for a four year period.

The other position will be to fill Katie Dullea's seat with the end of her term.  The position is for seven years.

Members of the Board meet monthly by telephone to discuss Section business.  In the third year, one becomes Feel free to contact any of the Board members to discuss the positions and the work that the Board does.

If you have an interest in joining the Board, please let us know so that we can get you nominated.

Another issue is that we would like your input on what the Section can do to provide any more benefit to section members, and what the Section can do to provide financial literacy education or support to the public at large.   The section has tried to get financial literacy education onto schools, with limited success.  We are open to ideas, so think out of the box.  You can provide any thoughts or ideas at the section meeting, by replying to this post, or by emailing  to any of the board members.

Our current board members are Katie Dullea, me, Rob Maynes, Alex Cavall, Bob Faucher, and Paul Ross.  Their email addresses may be included as recipients of this email.  You are welcome, Board Members, for this free publication of your email addresses.
