Good Morning!

       ListServe Members: Please Take Note!!

As indicated on the Website for the Bankruptcy Court of the District of Idaho, the Court is now utilizing the CourtSpeak program in certain hearings and trials, which allows for access to digital audio recordings regarding those hearings and trials, through Pacer.

Attorneys and Parties should be aware that the utilization of CourtSpeak is subject to discretion as to what hearings and trials will be recorded and disseminated, so if counsel or parties want a particular hearing or trial to be recorded through CourtSpeak, they need to discuss with the court deputy prior to the hearing/trial.

Further, the MP3 version of CourtSpeak is not an official transcript.

In addition, all Attorneys and Parties may want to be cautious about eliciting testimony that includes information about minors that you would not want to be disseminated through CourtSpeak.

Finally, BUT NOT LEAST, the recording equipment is very sensitive; so if the mute button is not activated, then conversations at counsels' table may become part of the recording. Talkers/whisperers may want to "be aware" and cognizant of this fact.

A Friendly Community Message from your Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee.

Have a great Thursday. Sheila
