[CLBS] Means Test

Laura:

VA disability is not paid under the SSA so it is included on the means test. There are some exceptions wherein a veteran is exempt from doing the means if they have a 30% disability rating, and there is an exception if they have been active duty for a certain number of days. 

I have not researched the issue in a while but I am not aware of any case law that changed the classification of these benefits.
