[CLBS] Can I stack car exemptions on one car?

I won't object if you do. Yes, you can use both car exemptions to exempt up
to $14,000 of equity in a car. Issues to consider: do both debtors have
their names on the title? If one has no ownership interest, there may be an
issue whether that one can exempt equity in a car that he or she does not
own. If the car was titled in one debtor's name only, was the car community
property? If it is community property, then I think the debtor whose name
is not on the title would have a sufficient ownership interest to allow that
person to use his or her exemption on it.
Good luck.
Thanks.
