Colleagues,

On Friday, September 13, Chief Bankruptcy Judge Joe Meier informed the attendees of the Northern Idaho federal courts Bench Bar program that Judge Terry L. Myers will be retiring as of August 1, 2020.  Congratulations to Judge Myers!  He has been sitting on the bench since 1998, so his tenure will have spanned 21 years.  As of his retirement, he will be halfway through his second 14-year term.  Judge Myers served as the Chief Bankruptcy Judge of our district from 2004-2019.

Judge Myers received his undergraduate degree from Idaho State University, and his J.D. from University of Idaho College of Law.

Those of you who might be interested in joining Chief Judge Meier on the bench should keep an eye out for the opportunity to submit your application in the coming months.
