[CLBS] Abandoned secured property

I have a couple of clients who have listed their cars or motorcycles in
their BK with the intention of surrendering them back to the creditor.
Many have already received their discharge and case has been closed.  Some
of these cases have been closed for over a year and the creditor has made
no attempt to collect their property.  At some point can they claim the
property as abandoned and apply for new titles?  Not sure how to advise
them. Any info would be appreciated.
