The IRS division that accepts and posts payments has been operating from home due to covid-19, and none of our checks are being cashed. We have both had contact with IRS representatives to discuss the problem. I was advised that they may start cashing checks in about three weeks. I have already reissued my March 31st payment and will have to reissue the April check soon. While Mr. Zimmerman and I both have the option of just turning over those funds to the clerk of the bankruptcy court, that won't do your clients any good if there is a secured or priority IRS claim that needs to be paid. Additionally I personally don't believe that the service should not be penalized due to the covid outbreak. We are all doing our best. Please be patient and as soon as the IRS starts cashing the checks we will be able to issue our final reports. FSA also has a 2nd position blanket lien on all crops and proceeds. Judgment creditor executes, no one opposes sale, they credit bid. Judgment creditor then leases land to another farmer #2 who promptly harvests the hay crop. Does Farmer have a right to assert FSA's blanket lien to his benefit? -- Aaron J.
