[CLBS] "American Opportunity Credit from Form 8863, line 8" - is this exempt?

I have not seen this on a tax return until now. Is the "American Opportunity
Credit from Form 8863, line 8" exempt? Also, is the ACTC exempt? I have
forgotten.
