When will the next edition of the US Consumer Law Attorney Fee Survey
Report from Ronald Burdge be published?
Target date: October.
Reasons for Delay? over 4,000 fee decisions to be put into the database on
top of the nearly 1,000 survey participants individual input. Plus a
massive change in the data analyses to accommodate data reporting for what
will likely be very nearly every city where there is a federal courthouse –
a large increase in the survey coverage will likely result which will push
the length to probably well beyond the previous 500+ pages!
The last edition included a comprehensive study of consumer bankruptcy fees
for both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, making this invaluable evidence to
present to courts when you're seeking an increase in presumptive fees!
P.S.: If you haven't taken part in the currently open survey, please do! Go
to https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/19ytC31Xrwu94pAAFgbAGp?domain=attorneyfeestudy.org for the link to take the survey so your info
will be included in the publication of the 2023-4 survey report.
