The Idaho Supreme Curt is considering permanently abolishing the ability 
of lawyers and their clients to disqualify Judges without cause.? For 
those of you who toil in the trenches of state? court litigation, 
criminal and civil, you have a chance to voice your opposition. I urge 
you to do so. The Administrative judges have voted in favor of repeal of 
the rule and I suspect the Supremes are leaning strongly in the 
direction of eliminating the DQ without cause. Unless the bar is vocal 
about this, you are going to lose what I think is a valuable right.

"The Court is reexamining the rules to assess whether they strike the 
appropriate balance between protecting the rights of litigants and 
ensuring the timely, fair, and impartial resolution of cases. Having 
received comments from the ADJs, the Court now seeks any responses, 
comments, or suggestions that the Bar and judges may wish to provide. 
Members of the Bar may provide this feedback anonymously through this

I couldn?t agree more.  Please everyone take a moment, do the survey,  and preserve this most important tool in our tool bag.  We all know there are some truly bad judges that you want to DQ every time.
