I've been listening to this Tina Turner song, "Simply the Best" over and over again, because he was absolutely the best. In his short time on the bench, he did a great deal of good and was an asset to our profession. He was wise, patient, kind, just everything you want in a judge. He always let everyone say what they needed to say. He'd let people exhaust themselves and then ask, "Is there anything else you'd like me to know?" No one could ever claim they didn?t get to say everything they needed to say.
