I remember when Joe Meier first joined Cosho Humphrey and worked with Mike Southcombe.   Over the years, I worked with Joe a great deal-as an opposing counsel; sometimes on the same side; a conflict referral; and always a superb lawyer.  Honorable, knowledgeable, never condescending or superior.  A good friend for a long time.  Turned into an excellent judge, as he did in everything else.  We've all lost one of our "pillars"  and a REALLY good man in everything.
