Good afternoon NCASG,

Wyoming is currently in the middle of a trades study and one common theme has been our tool allowance policy. If you have a few moments, the following questions would greatly help us move forward:

1. What state are you with and do you have a tool allowance policy for mechanics or other skilled trades positions? Georgia, and no we do not have a tool allowance

2. Do you supply mechanic tools or require them to supply their own? The state supplies the tools which are inventoried daily and replaced as needed.

3. If you do have an allowance, how much per year is this allowance? Do you spread the amount out month to month or do a once a year payment? N/A

4. Who assesses what a fair tool allowance is and how often is this revisited? N/A

Thank you!

Meghan - Wyoming
