William,

1) Some agencies currently utilize E-Verify, but not all.

2) In speaking with these agencies, they do have lots of positive things to say about E-Verify. We are in the process of standardizing certain aspects of HR throughout the State and onboarding is one of the topics we have yet to have. I do think migrating to the E-Verify platform could be advantageous. Therefore, this is somewhat timley for the State of Wyoming and I would be curious to find out the results, if you are willing to share.

Thank you,

I have two questions for you folks, and all I would like to know can be summed up in a yes/no response:

  * Does your state use E-verify for I-9 employment eligibility verification?

  * Does the process work well for you?

From their website: E-Verify is a web-based system that allows enrolled employers to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States. E-Verify employers verify the identity and employment eligibility of newly hired employees by electronically matching information provided by employees on the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, against records available to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
