[NCASG] Law Enforcement Geographic Differentials

Dear NCASG,

Does your state offer geographic differentials (aka location-based salary) to law enforcement officers (including correctional officers)?  If so, please describe how the pay rates for geographic areas are determined.  For example, are pay rates tied to the cost of living in the applicable area or are higher pay scales offered for less desirable locations.

Any responses you can provide by Wednesday, February 9, 2021 would be appreciated.
