[NCASG] West Virginia - Comparable Software/Programming Classifications

Good afternoon,
The State of West Virginia is trying to create a new classification for our
Office of Technology. Please see the below examples of work and* send any
classifications that you have that are comparable*. We are trying to also
find an appropriate title to fit this classification.
*Examples of Work*
- Performs moderately complex programming tasks.
- Participates in moderately complex code reviews and may recommend sign
off on features.
- Writes and executes moderately complex test plans.
- Collaborating with management, departments and customers to identify
end-user requirements and specifications
- Can write functional specifications for moderately complex features
- Designs algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and
systems.
- Produces efficient and elegant code based on requirements.
- Tests and deploys programs and applications
- Troubleshoots, debugs, maintains and improves existing software
- Compiles and assesses user feedback to improve software quality and
performance.
- Observes user feedback and recommends improvements to existing
software products.
- Develops technical documentation to guide future software development
projects.
- Given a medium to large understood problem, can design and implement a
solution.
- Provides guidance and delivers feedback in a constructive manner to
team members.
- Works with technical leads, incorporating feedback as needed.
- Provides input for and follows set standards and methodology for
analysis, design and coding of a system.
- Prepares a detailed statement of system requirements and determines
the cost of implementation.
- Helps focus discussions during important feature enhancements and/or
vulnerabilities.
- May participate on a team or work independently for the selection of
hardware and software.
- Enhance the enterprises IT infrastructure security protocols
- Works to better understand the wants and needs of customers and build
software and tools to reduce user errors and improve the customer’s overall
experience
- Functions as a Software Quality Assurance.
