On behalf of the National Compensation Association of State Governments (NCASG), please find attached the NCASG 2022 Benefits Survey, including a response form and an instruction document. This survey is one of three surveys administered each year by the NCASG. Thirty-two states participated in this survey last year, the same number as the previous year. Let's see if we can add a few more this year. All participants will receive a detailed results report. New for 2022 Other than changing dates, some minor editing of the response form and the instructions, and the addition of Juneteenth Day to the menu of possible holidays, we have made no changes to the survey this year. Nonetheless, please note that Table 6 (Employer and Employee Contributions to Health Insurance Premiums) was significantly simplified a few years ago. On this table please provide data only for the one plan with the largest participation, and indicate whether the plan type is Indemnity, PPO, or HMO. I have access to every state's 2021 response. If you do not have a copy of your state's 2021 submission but would like to have one for reference while completing the 2022 survey, please let me know. Since little has changed in the survey since last year, it should be relatively simple to provide an update with changes to your 2021 submission. The thirty-two participants from last year's survey are as follows: AL CA CO DE GA HI IA ID IL IN KS KY LA MN MO MS MT NC ND NE NM NV OK OR SC SD TN UT WA WI WV WY If you participated in 2020 but not in 2021 (Alaska and Arkansas), I have your 2020 response if you would like a copy for reference. Please submit your NCASG 2022 Benefits Survey responses to me no later than August 31, 2022, so we can distribute results promptly. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via reply email or at my telephone number below. Jamie Caldwell, from Kentucky, has agreed to serve as an alternative contact ( 502-564-6826 or Jamie.Caldwell at ky.gov ). All surveys are due August 31, 2022. Thank you! If so, please identify if you or someone else will be the primary survey contact.* *Please carefully read the instructions on the first spreadsheet tab.* Once again, there are no changes from last year's survey benchmarks, so you should be able to copy and paste your job matches from last year's submission into this year's template and update them accordingly. If you are unable to track down your state's survey response from last year, please let me know via email, and I can provide it. For those of you new to this survey, the audit formulas built into the survey response spreadsheets have been highly successful in alerting states to survey data issues before submission. These audit formulas are in the columns with yellow-highlighted headers, and the headers briefly indicate the type of data problem each addresses. If the cell formula identifies an issue, the cell turns red and reads ?False.? Please keep all these audit columns in your response. The most common False is for actual pay values that exceed the pay range maximum. These can often be legitimate, and each case should be confirmed as accurate in the comments column. *New this year*, a seventh audit formula column has been added to indicate missing values in the Match Level column. Salary Survey data is to be based on full-time pay rates as of July 1, 2022. The completed Survey (both the Classified and Executive worksheets) should be submitted to me by *Wednesday, August 31, 2022.* After your submission, I or another member of the NCASG survey team will contact you regarding any questions regarding your survey response. Please don?t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thanks in advance for your work in building another high-quality NCASG survey product! - Steve Steven Ainger Classification & Compensation Program Coordinator Iowa Department of Administrative Services Human Resources Enterprise 515-281-8961 | steven.ainger at iowa.gov https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/lCuhCjRKg8fR9MPrFWhfNC?domain=das.iowa.gov -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... However, the State of Ohio offered incentives for receiving vaccinations in the form of lump sum payments offered on two separate dates based on achievement of a goal. The criteria to receive a lump sum payment were: 1 - Agencies who achieve 65% of staff receiving at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine by a defined date were awarded a lump sum payment of $300. 2 - Agencies who achieve 85% of staff receiving at least the first does of COVID-19 vaccine by a defined date were awarded a lump sum payment of $600. There was also a payment of $100 per employee who documented that they received at least the first dose of the vaccine. Some agencies met these goals and their employees were awarded the lump sum payment. This was implemented late last year around October through December. Rene? Thank you!
