[NCASG] 2023 NCASG Pay Structures and Practices Survey - Open for Participation!

Good morning!

Please see attached for the new and improved NCASG Pay Structures and Practices survey. This is survey #2 of our three annual surveys; the 2023 NCASG Benefits Survey was sent out by Lynn Hart on 7/5/23 and the 2023 NCASG Salary Survey will be coming soon from Steven Ainger. We welcome everyone's participation in all three surveys - a paid membership is not required to receive the survey results for 2023.

The blank template for the 2023 NCASG Pay Structures and Practices is attached. I am working on reformatting the "results template" for last year's participants with the pre-filled information and should have this out before the end of the week. However, I wanted to share the blank template so that everyone, including last year's participants, can see the changes that have been made for 2023.

Responses are requested by August 31st, but if more time is needed, please let me know.

Changes for 2023 include:

  *   Table 1 Emp Groups: Columns G - J regarding turnover have been moved to the new "Turnover and Retention Strategies" table. Also, a few additional questions have been added to the new turnover table (see Table 19).

  *   New table: Vacancies and Recruiting (see Table 20). Since some states have expressed interest in vacancy rates and I'm sure that we're all interested in recruiting strategies, this new table has been added to collect this information.

  *   Table 3, Structure Mechanics - changed column K from "other target rate; please explain" to a generic comments field. The few states that have used that column in the past seem to use it for comments rather than for an "other target rate" explanation.

  *   Table 18 - changed "project" references in column headings to "activity" since not everything may be considered a project.

  *   Minor edits to instructions, mainly for the new/revised tables.

States that will be included on the pre-filled results template are as follows:
