     *   Below you will find three managerial classifications dedicated to IT project delivery in addition to our generalist IT classification series.

     *   See class descriptions for technical overview.
     *   We also have the Information Systems Specialist<https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/y9E2CmZj0yULKkOWhO-RfX?domain=apps.oregon.gov> class series that may perform or support IT Project Management.
  *   Are those positions housed within agencies or in a centralized IT agency?
     *   Our IT project delivery positions/classifications are found within the enterprise in addition to a centralized IT body (EIS, first bullet). EIS may assist customers with IT project management but does not solely perform it for the enterprise.

Good morning,

The State of South Dakota is reviewing project management needs within the changing environment of system support. Our state agencies are dealing with increasingly large and more frequent business technology system implementations. We are currently doing a review of project management needs to include the specific knowledge, skills and abilities needed for project managers, to whom the individuals report and how they relate to agencies and our Bureau of Information and Telecommunications.

We are looking for some feedback in the following areas:

  *   Can you provide any insight into your state processes/positions that support system implementation?

  *   What technical level is ideal for your project management positions?
