The Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL) new licensing system will go live on Monday July 1, 2024, at 8:00 am MDT. Below is information on how the existing legacy licensing systems will be affected by the cutover to the new system.

The legacy licensing system you have been using for registration renewals will be unavailable to the public starting at 6:00 pm MDT on June 26, 2024. All new applications and renewals will resume on Monday July 1, 2024, at 8:00 am MDT.

If you have a renewal coming due at the end of July 2024, you can find instructions on how to create a new online profile and to complete your renewal process online in the new licensing system here https://dopl.idaho.gov/onlineservices.

If you purchase trade (electrical, plumbing, or HVAC) permits you will continue to use the existing licensing system through the end of October. The system that issues the trades permits will be cutover to the new licensing system on November 4, 2024.
