New DOPL System Coming November 4

DOPL would like to inform you that the legacy licensing system used for permitting and inspections will no longer be available to the public starting at 6:00 pm MDT on October 31, 2024. Permit purchases and inspection requests will resume in DOPL's new licensing system on Monday November 4, 2024, at 8:00 am MST. You are receiving this notification because you currently have an "Active" permit for electrical, HVAC, or plumbing.
There are two ways to request an inspection on your "Active" permit.

  *   Call 208-332-4700.
  *   Visit our new online services site at https://edopl.idaho.gov/OnlineServices/_/. Select the Request Inspection from the Inspection Tile on the main page. Enter your permit number, select the date you are requesting an inspection and submit the request.
To purchase additional permits, extend the timeline of the permit, or transfer permit(s) to a contractor you will need to create a new online profile in the new system. DOPL has created videos on how to create a new online profile under the HOW DO I tab at https://dopl.idaho.gov.
Enclosed with this letter are step by step instructions on how to associate your permit(s) with your new online profile.

Step1: After logging into your new online profile under the "MORE" tab select Associate an Existing License, Registration, or Permit option in the Start Here tile.

Step 2: Select the Provide permit number (unlicensed only) option and enter in your permit number and click the next button.

Step 3: You will then be asked to verify the permit is accurate and you are the owner of the permit. Select the next button if you are the owner and the permit number is correct.

Step 4: After going through the additional submission screen, you will be taken to your profile home screen. Under the "Summary" tab, you can see your permit(s). From here you can request an inspection, extend the date of the permit, or transfer the permit to a contractor if needed.
