2020 LPN License Renewal Season

[News from the Idaho Board of Nursing]

Dear Idaho LPN,

This email serves as a reminder that the Idaho 2020 LPN License Renewal Season is open from June 1, 2020 - August 31, 2020. If you have recently submitted your renewal application, thank you and please disregard this message.  You and your employer can view license expiration date and other details via the QuickConfirm License Verification function at Nursys.com.

The renewal application may be accessed through the Nurse Portal at https://ibn.boardsofnursing.org/ibn. All current LPN licenses will expire on August 31, 2020. If a renewal application is not submitted before the renewal deadline and you are interested in seeking licensure, a completed reinstatement application including a fingerprint-based background check will be required.

Effective this renewal season, you will be required to attest to completing Continued Competence Requirements and may be audited for compliance with these requirements. Detailed information about these requirements can be found at https://ibn.idaho.gov/licensure/licensure-application-types/. If you are selected for an audit, you will be contacted to submit your documentation to the Idaho Board of Nursing. Please do not send documentation to the Idaho Board of Nursing unless you are requested to do so. Your license renewal application may be delayed, denied, and/or result in disciplinary action if you fail to meet the Continued Competence Requirements. Newly graduated LPNs are exempt from Continued Competence Requirements for the first renewal cycle after initial licensure.
