[IBN - Licensure Renewal]

Hello Idaho Nurses,

All current RN and APRN licenses will expire on August 31, 2021.
Beginning May 1st, you may access your renewal application through the nurse portal. https://ibn.boardsofnursing.org/ibn

This year you will be required to attest to completing Continued Competence Requirements (CCR) on the renewal application. Please note that your license renewal application may be delayed, denied, and/or result in disciplinary action if you fail to attest to completion of CCR requirements. Board staff will not be pre-approving CCRs prior to submitting your renewal application.

In addition, you may be audited at a later date for compliance with these CCR requirements. If you are selected for an audit, you will be contacted to submit documentation proof of CCR completion to the Idaho Board of Nursing. Newly graduated RNs are exempt from Continued Competence Requirements for the first renewal cycle after initial licensure.

If you do not renew your license within the renewal period, you will be required to submit a reinstatement application including a new fingerprint-based background check.
