[IDHR] New Deputy Administrators

Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

I came into this on the table in my office this morning:

I've learned working in HR that you don't ask questions if you're not prepared to deal with the answer. Therefore, I haven't lifted it, because I'm not ready to "kill it." Whatever it may be. Who knows what's underneath. We may never find out!

What I am really excited to announce to everyone is that I have filled my two Deputy Administrator positions!


  *   Andrea Ryan accepted the Deputy Administrator of Field Operations position and will oversee the strategy for how we provide the best-in-class HR support to our state agencies.
  *   Michelle Peugh accepted the Deputy Administrator of Central Office Operations position and oversee the strategy for providing the tools, training, resources, and communications so that our HR team is able to provide the best-in-class HR support to our state agencies.

They both have a common goal- to support you all and to support our state agencies but they will be focused on different stakeholder groups.

  *   Andrea will be working closely with agency directors and our Operations Bureau Chiefs (Mike, Kristy, and now a vacancy) to align our operational activities with strategic priorities.
  *   Michelle will be working closely with legislators, governor's office and our Central Bureau Chiefs (Angela, Michelle H. and now a vacancy) to align our operational activities with strategic priorities.

Both Andrea and Michelle bring a ton of great experience to the table and have backgrounds in both the private and public sector. They were both integral in leading and implementing two of the biggest changes the state has ever been a part of - HR Modernization and Luma. They are multipliers who amplify the capabilities of those around them and care deeply for their teams.

I am excited to have these roles filled and to be able to pick up where we left off with our strategic planning and outlining the vision for DHR, which we plan to roll out to everyone during the Spring summit.
