Hi, All

Camping season is upon us, and this month we have a map from the USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) showing the incidence of pests at federal campsites. (So now you will know before you go.) The map was created for internal agency analysis and decision-making. The campground information was compiled by Jeff Cook, Idaho Dept of Parks and Recreation. Notice the excellent attribution and documentation at the lower left of the map. You can see the paper map in the lobby of the Len B. Jordan Building in Boise (just north of the Capitol) or visit the online gallery at gis.idaho.gov, Map of the Month link in the left navigation bar.

Don't forget to review and comment on the Structures Data Exchange Standard. You can download a copy at http://www.gis.idaho.gov/framework/Misc.htm under the Public Safety TWG topic. This draft standard will be presented at the upcoming Forum, June 24, in Pocatello. An agenda will be posted very soon.
