Hi, All

GIS Week is still taking shape. As of this date, no training sessions are planned on Monday or Friday. Note that Northern Rockies URISA is having a meeting on Monday afternoon, and all are welcome to join them. Also Bruce Godfrey will tell us about all the ways to publish metadata at INSIDE Idaho immediately following ESRI's Cloud presentation on Wednesday morning. On Thursday morning, the IGC-EC will meet at its regular place and time. Those not interested in attending can take a guided tour of the Capitol building. Check http://gis.idaho.gov/portal/ for the most recent draft schedule. There will be telephone conferencing available Tuesday and Wednesday. Next week I'll tour the facilities to see if we have room for map displays. Stay tuned.

Nick has made it easy to become a member of the Idaho Geospatial Council. Simply visit http://gis.idaho/gov/portal/igc to register. Over 50 of you have already signed up; let's make it a 100!

For those of you planning GIS Day activities, remember to register your event at gisday.com. The ISU-Pocatello event is the only one listed for Idaho. Is that really the case?

The Broadband map for Idaho has an interactive map application. Right now, the data showing is from the first round. Fresher data will be incorporated in a week or so. Check it out at http://www.linkidaho.org/lid/maps.aspx. You can provide feedback, too.

The map this month comes from BLM Boise District Office. It depicts Public Land Management in southwest Idaho, including the new wilderness area designations in the Owyhee area. You can access the map virtually at http://gis.idaho.gov/portal/IGO/MapGallery/MapGallery.htm or stroll our hallway in the LBJ Building at 650 W State Street in Boise.

I look forward to gathering with you in Boise for GIS Week.

Cheers,
