[Igc] IGC-EC Organizational Changes

Colleagues,

For the past decade, I have enjoyed getting to know many of you at a personal and professional level. Time cannot go by, however, without change. I am excited to report that I have accepted the GIS Coordinator position for the State of Wyoming and will be moving to Cheyenne with my family in a couple of weeks.  I look forward to continuing to work with many of you in my new position, and may be calling many of you directly in the near future as I get my feet wet in our neighbor state.

My departure leaves a vacancy on the IGC Executive Committee. The IGC bylaws provide for the Chair to appoint someone to fill any vacancy, and Liza Fox of Supervalue has accepted this appointment. Within the next two weeks, we will hold a special meeting to ratify the appointment of Liza, as well as to elect a new chair from the IGC-EC membership. Sally will be working over the next few days to schedule this meeting.

Having an election for the Chair of IGC-EC will require nominations.  If you would like to nominate anyone for the position of Chair of IGC-EC (or have an interest in the position yourself) , please communicate this to either Sally or myself before 5PM on March 23, 2011.
