[Igc] Hydrography Framwork Nominations - next Hydro TWG Sept. 18

Hello Everyone,

The TWG's next scheduled meeting is September 18, 2014, 9 to 11 am MT at the Idaho Water Center in Boise.

The primary topic of discussion are the Water Feature and Watershed Boundary Framework Dataset Nominations.

Please be prepared to discuss:

1)      The nominations in particular any Exclusions

Because the TWG voted to nominate the entire Hydrography Dataset of the NHD, there are portions  of the dataset that may not be the best representation, for example, the NHDPoint Feature Class that includes dams and well subtypes and the NHDWaterbody Feature Class includes Swamp/Marsh.  Are these exclusions best represented in the Hydro Standard or in the Nomination Document?

2)      Any additional modifications needed to the Hydro Standard and/or other documents?

3)      Other datasets that need to be considered?

The two nominations are:

1.       Hydrography Dataset of the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) - Will represent the Water Features portion of the TIM Framework

2.       Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) - Will represent the Watershed Boundary/Catchment portion of the TIM Framework
