JARED PAUL STEIN (Bannock County Assessor)
My name is Jared Paul Stein. I was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. At the age of 3 my family moved to Pocatello, where I have lived ever since. My wife, Elizabeth and I have 4 children.
In January of this year I was elected Bannock County Assessor. Prior to this I owned and operated J P Stein & Associates. My expertise has been in the appraising of residential real estate as a Licensed Residential Appraiser. I worked in the Bannock County Assessor's Office as a Certified Residential Appraiser. I have experience working with J W Dunford & Associates training as a commercial and residential appraiser.
In the assessor's office I have worked with our GIS/Mapping Department. For the county I am on a committee to start up a new GIS Department. I really would like to get involved in GIS by serving on the committee in an effort to help my own GIS Department. I would also like to be a voice for other Assessor's in the State of Idaho as a member of Idaho Association of Counties (IAC).
I am a member of various organizations in the community. I take pride in helping out and working in the community. I like to "get involved."
I appreciate the life Idaho has to offer. I enjoy golfing, fishing, camping and spending time with my family.
I am asking for your support in electing me for a seat on your the IGC-EC. Please contact me at (208) 236-7260 for any further questions or just a call to visit and get to know me better.
BRIAN LIBERTY (Idaho Power)
24 years of experience in GIS. Currently GIS Leader at Idaho Power. Other positions held include, Idaho Region GIS Analyst at Boise Cascade, GIS Analyst at POWER Engineers, and GIS Specialist at Morrison Knudsen. Brian has been a member of the IGC-EC since December 2010.
WILMA ROBERTSON (Idaho State Tax Commission)
Born and raised in Holland and married to a Canadian, Wilma, now a US citizen, lives with her husband and two sons in Boise, Idaho. Since 2003 Wilma has taught 9 semesters of Intro GIS at BSU and worked for, among other places, Idaho Power and the Idaho Department of Water Resources. Wilma has been working for the Idaho State Tax Commission since August 2011 where her main duties involve GIS education and GIS support for counties.
STEWART WARD (Dioptra Geomatics)
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Geomatics Technology from Idaho State University in 2008 and am a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Idaho and Utah. I work for Dioptra, a full-service Land Surveying and Geomatics firm located in Eastern Idaho. I have been involved with surveying since 2001 with experience in land surveys, construction staking, control surveys, 3D Scanning, mapping and GIS applications. I manage small to mid-sized surveying projects for Dioptra and I am the lead surveyor on mapping and GIS projects. I have been involved with GIS since 2006. Since 2009, I have been involved with the Cadastral Reference TWG and had a role in defining the attributes to be used in the Multi-State Control Point Database (MCPD). I am currently a member of the Steering Committee for the East Idaho Regional Resource Center. I believe that my background in surveying and my experience with the Regional Resource Center and other Technical Working Groups will bring fresh ideas and knowledge to the IGC-EC that will enhance the GIS efforts in Idaho. I believe that surveyors need to be involved with the GIS efforts in Idaho and without this involvement and support; the GIS and Surveying communities will struggle to work together.
Thank you,
