We continue to get data from more and more counties. Attached is an agreement for the agencies that will have FTP access to the parcel data to clarify how it can be used by the agencies. I think that our attorney has done a great job of making this simple, short and in English (This was reviewed (and modified) by the Attorney General's Office, your attorneys can check with Julie Weaver in the Attorney General's Office if they have questions. Please let me know if you (or other people in your agency) have any questions. Let's get the agreements in place and then get access to the agencies to the data. August 7th Message-ID: <6243891FF9B99A40AABD05ACBC6F8B46095688E4@a025.idwr.state.id.us> Surprise!! There is a high probability that Idaho will be included in the 2013 NAIP data capture! Contracts, flight planning, and specifics for the deliverables are being discussed among the Federal agencies securing the funding. Definitive answers to questions swirling around this unexpected, but welcome, opportunity are yet to be known with a high level of certainty; however, it's important to get the GIS community thinking and planning for the future. Apparently, there may now be some restrictions on sharing the data (to what extent is unsure) so let's get those discussions started. Due to time constraints, scheduling issues, and in order to let time answer some of those pressing questions, we have scheduled our next Imagery Technical Working Group meeting for August 7th so please mark your calendars now: Date: Wednesday August 7th Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Place: IDWR Conference Room 602D --- 322 E. Front St. Idaho Water Center - Boise, Idaho (corner of Front and Broadway) Even in these tough economic times the importance of current, high-resolution imagery is a top priority for those of us in the GIS field. Opportunity is knocking at Idaho's door, let's answer with gusto! Hope to see you on August 7th mw Margie Wilkins GIS Analyst Idaho Department of Water Resources 322 E. Front St. P.O. Please contact me if you have any questions - showing off some of what has already been done would be great - we have an hour and a half set aside to show what we have done - please let me know if you can do a demo for the meeting. * I am continuing to add users and format the site. Also I am setting up some more group - by agency and also by function. * We have some interest from the state webmasters in working with the GIS community to get some maps on some of the State Webpages using AGOL. * Even if you attend the first meeting the Morning June 5th will cover new and different information. * Attached is an updated agenda * We have filled all the one-on-one slots, if we want to get together via email or in person we could put together future information sharing sessions. I look forward to the meeting next week. (I have pulled email address from several sources so I apologize to anybody who get this message more then once) Cheers, Bill bill.farnsworth at cio.idaho.gov 208 332-1878 (w) 208 863-9039 (c) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
