Agency Staff,
I thought I would put together some notes from the Esri User Conference that I attend in San Diego.
You can watch the opening sessions at: Plenary session link: http://video.esri.com/series/265/2016-esri-user-conference-plenary
It is always interesting to watch at least Jack Dangermond's section for the big announcements/directions/changes/etc.

Two Big Things this year are:

1. Free Training

Esri president Jack Dangermond told conference attendees at the opening Plenary this week that he believes in the value of lifelong learning. So, Esri will now offer complimentary, unlimited access to self-paced web courses, seminars, videos, and resources on the new Esri Training website<http://go.esri.com/esritraining?utm_source=esri&utm_medium=email&utm_term=173601&utm_campaign=training2016>. The site will launch in August and training is available to all customers with a qualifying Esri product that has a current maintenance subscription. Free training is meant to help ArcGIS users keep their skillsets current so they can get every bit of value from the technology.

2. Imagery

Esri and DigitalGlobe expended relationship: http://www.esri.com/esri-news/releases/13-1qtr/esri-and-digitalglobe-expand-world-imagery-map

Another Interesting Item:

Esri UC marked the launch of Drone2Map for ArcGIS<http://www.esri.com/products/drone2map>, a desktop app that turns drone-captured still imagery into professional 2D and 3D imagery products such as web maps in ArcGIS in minutes.

Cheers,
Bill
