Welcome to Idaho's Geospatial Technology list server: geotech@admws.idaho.gov This is an open forum and not an official technical support resource. It is designed to stimulate discussion and collaboration on geospatial technologies, data, stewardship, and and related topics. We invite you to share announcements and information, discuss issues and facilitate collaborative efforts relevant to delivering geospatial technology solutions to decision makers. To post a message to geotech, send an email to: geotech@admws.idaho.gov Please note that this is not a moderated list. Anything you send to geotech@admws.idaho.gov will be broadcast (unedited) to subscribers. Guidelines for use: This listserv is a community resource and is only helpful to the extent that we all contribute. Discussions and debate are healthy; personal attacks are not tolerated and may lead to a revocation of subscription. Remember, others are more likely to read your post when it is short and aptly titled in the subject line. When replying to other posts, please do not include all of the previous post, copy only the relevant parts of other subscribers' messages to keep your post short. Posts of a commercial nature are unwelcome and will result in revocation of subscription for the poster. Rather than attaching documents, the full text may be inserted in the message (use cut and paste). Finally, be aware that geotech is an unmoderated discussion group. Although the list owners monitor the list and perform many maintenance tasks in the background, any posting sent to geotech@admws.idaho.gov by a subscriber posts to the entire e-mail list automatically. When posting a message to the list it is VERY IMPORTANT to include a signature or simply sign your message so other members will know who sent it. By default any replies to a message posted to the list will be sent to the original sender of the message. If you would like your reply to go to the entire list be sure to send your reply to geotech@admws.idaho.gov. If you have problems or questions, please email gail.ewart@cio.idaho.gov. Using geotech
To post a message to all the list members, send email to geotech@admws.idaho.gov. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to geotech
Subscribe to geotech by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
