[Agencyitmanagers] New State Homepage To Go Live Tonight

Agency IT Managers,

The new Idaho state homepage is going live tonight after 5 pm.  The link to the page will remain the same:  https://www.idaho.gov/

Features of the new homepage will include:

  1.  Updated, modern, streamlined design for improved mobile use
  2.  Local attractions and services are featured on the home page as well as the individual county pages.
     *   Data is provided by multiple sources (API calls to local, state and national data sources)
     *   Categories include: online services, county facts, weather, farmers markets, hiking & backpacking, hot springs, mountain biking, museums, natural attractions, skiing/snowboarding, state parks, rafting/kayaking, travel/511 info, and historical markers.
        *   Side note - fishing data will be provided soon. We are waiting on the IDFG 2.0 API that will have the updated rules and regulations they just released. We anticipate this being added to Idaho.gov by the end of February.
     *   The Idaho Tourism data is regional, showing users attractions that may not be in their county but nearby
     *   The Homepage utilizes the user's browser positioning API to display the county in which they are located
  3.  Improved Search feature allows users to filter search results by state agency and by document type.
     *   The search also includes a highlighted section that features online services available based on the search term entered.
  4.  A-Z Agency Directory allows users to quickly search and find the state agency they are looking for.
  5.  The Online Services page includes a robust search capability that allows the user to filter through the available online services by category or state agency.
