[CLBS] Pre-judment Writ

Help!  I have a client whose employee embezzled approximately $100,000 from
my client's business.  The employee was arrested and posted bond last
Friday.

 

My client, the employer, is worried that the Defendant will attempt to
liquidate some valuable assets from which restitution can be paid, before a
civil judgment can be obtained in the felony embezzlement case.

 

Therefore, he came to me to see if I could obtain some kind of civil
temporary restraining order, to prevent the Defendant from liquidating or
otherwise disposing of assets, to avoid having to pay restitution.

 

Does anyone know what kind of a cause of action I would file, if this is
even possible, and would you have any forms or advice for me in attempting
this relief?

 

I thought maybe a complaint and a pre-judgment writ of some kind, but I not
done either before.  So, thanks for any advice!  I more than appreciate your
time and wisdom.
