Listmates, thanks for all the good responses.  Oddly enough, I just got a
call, totally out of the blue, from the person who negotiated the
modification.  She said that they would need something from the court before
they'd enter into the final mod if the case is still open (and I think an
abandonment would be the way to go), but since my clients' case should be
discharged and closed by that time (which is in January, not November as the
Asian person told me), and we already have a no asset report, I don't need
to do anything.  You gotta love that outsourcing!
