Anyone else see this?  I saw these guys advertising a few years ago but
thought what they were doing was a bad idea.  I guess the Utah bar believes
it is OK to exchange post petition debt for bk fees.  Has Idaho passed off
on this yet?

The Utah State Bar Ethics Advisory Committee issued an ethics opinion on
the BK Billing model.

In summary:

   - It is *not* unlawful to sell Chapter 7 accounts receivable in Utah.
   - Factoring is *not* considered ‘fee-sharing with a non-lawyer.’
   - Debtors must give informed consent as to any potential conflicts
   between the parties.
   - Client confidentiality should be protected.
   - Be mindful of your advertising practices and the reasonableness of
   your attorney's fees.
