Good Morning All,

Georgia’s recruiting and retention practices that have been implemented.

• Launched a comprehensive marketing campaign to include billboards throughout the metro Atlanta area (largest concentration of state employees) and digital marketing with MARTA
• Launched targeted university and college print and digital advertising campaign with campus student media at three major university partners (UGA, Clayton State, and GSU)
• Partnering with Wounded Warrior Project to host our first state sponsored career fair
• Continuing expansion of presence on campus through career fairs and other campus events
• Hosting on-site hiring fairs
• Increasing media presence (billboards and social media)

HRA is also in the process of certifying hiring incentives for various jobs at various agencies. These are typically the lower-level jobs (food service, housekeeping etc.) which have been impacted with the increase hourly rates in the private sector.

Subject: [NCASG] Recruiting and Retention Strategies

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.

Good afternoon NCASG Colleagues,

Wyoming is facing some difficult recruiting and retention issues. Outside of pay, has your state implemented any strategies to assist in attracting new talent? Are there specific areas or institutions you use to assist in recruiting (such as career fairs or LinkedIn)? If retention is an issue, have you implemented any practices to keep employees, including pay? If these strategies are only for certain departments or occupations, which areas are of focus?

We recognize this is a broad question, but we are open to any assistance and advice even if it is limited to departments or occupations.

Thank you for your help and have a wonderful weekend!

Meghan - Wyoming
