The state of NC is exploring options for observing Juneteenth.  If at all possible, please reply to stephanie.McFadden at nc.gov<mailto:stephanie.McFadden at nc.gov> by January 25, 2021.


  1.  Does your state currently observe Juneteenth as a paid holiday? If so, please provide the relevant link or a copy of the Juneteenth policy/provision.  No


  1.  If your state does not observe Juneteenth as a paid holiday, is it recognized or celebrated in another way such as a proclamation, day of service etc,?  Please explain.
  2.  If your state does not currently observe Juneteenth, are there plans to acknowledge or celebrate in 2021? If so, how? Not aware of anything at this time
