[NCASG] State of NC survey of Accounting classifications

Good afternoon,

I work for the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources, in the Total Rewards/Classification and Compensation Division. We are seeking information and best practices on Accounting jobs in other states. Specifically, we are seeking information on what other state's minimum education and experience requirements are.

In North Carolina, Accounting Directors, Accounting Managers and Accountants require a Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a degree in business administration, finance or public administration or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 semester hours of accounting coursework and X years of professional accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are evaluating the 18 semester hours of accounting coursework, so any feedback on what your requirements are is greatly appreciated.  Attached is a Word document with the NC requirements and a column for the information that you can provide by close of business on Monday, June 28th. I am also attaching the NC Class Specs.  Any assistance that you can provide is greatly appreciated.
