Meghan,
Our workweek policy statement is below. Agencies can define their own workweek as long as it is a fixed and regularly recurring period of seven consecutive days and they communicate it to their employees.
4-07-07-03. The standard workweek.
The standard workweek is a fixed and regularly recurring period of seven consecutive twenty-four-hour periods. A workweek may begin on any day of the week and at any hour and minute of the day. Due to the nature of the work, an agency may assign employees to work different workweeks or different workdays to carry out the mission of the agency. Employees must be made aware of their assigned workweek. An agency may establish different workweeks in accordance with requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 [Pub. L. 75-718; 52 Stat. 1060; 29 U.S.C. 201 et seq.]. In the absence of an established standard workweek, the period of 12:00 a.m. Sunday through 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday must be utilized.

Good afternoon NCASG,
Wyoming is examining our definition of work start and end days based on agency requests. Currently our definition of the Official State Workweek is:
Each workweek shall begin at 12:01 A.M. Saturday, continue through for seven (7) consecutive days (168 hours) and shall end at 12:00 mid-night on Friday.
1. Does your State have an official workweek that applies to everyone or is this under agency control?
2. Do you have a definition of workweek (particularly start and end days) and can you share the policy?
3. How do you grant exceptions to the workweek and what exceptions do you currently have in place, for example, Phoenix (rotating) Fridays off?
Thank you for your help! Please reach out with any questions.
